Robert Hasting

Bob is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Specialty Firestop Systems and a UL Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) with 42 years construction experience.

He has been involved with the pen seal, firestop and electrical circuit protection industry since 1978.

Projects include Nuclear power plants, coal fire boilers, natural gas co-gens, paper mills, chemical/pharmaceutical plants, high tech, healthcare and commercial facilities.

Mr. Hasting is very involved as a leader in the industry which includes past president and committee chair in the Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA).

He is a registered instructor with the International Accreditation Service/International Code Council (IAS/ICC),

serves on the Underwriters Laboratory Standards Technical Panel,

a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA),

American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE) Standards Task Group and the

American Society of Health Care Engineers (ASHE).
